Based on 8 Inch Applause® Pro-series Speaker (4 Ohm Aged)
AitR™ AP-pro – Captured Speaker IR-Profile
The AitR™AP-pro Virtual Guitar Speaker is based on a 1990s 4 Ohm, 8 inch Applause® Pro-Series Speaker. This speaker was used in an Applause® 1×8 open back guitar combo, which sounds remarkably good. Despite the small dimensions, this 8 inch speaker has a very fat warm sound. The characteristic of this speaker shows that the mids are scooped and the highs are raised. This makes this speaker (for example the 1×8 open back version) very suitable for clean rhythm guitar parts. Also distorted tones become alive surprisingly well. The 4×8 configuration delivers a beautiful tight tone that sounds fat and is even very useful in live (gig-level) situations. In addition, the 2×8 version delivers beautiful jazzy tones.
Furthermore, this midscooped speaker can be combined well with AitR™ speakers such as the GB-rd and FD-tw.
